The 2012 Chrysler 300 SRT8 is the latest creation from Chrysler’s Street and Racing Technology or SRT team, which makes first debuts at the 2011 New York Auto Show, and comes with a distinct upgrade to the exterior, interior, updated technology features and a bigger engine equipped with a new active valve exhaust system and a five-speed automatic transmission with “Sport” and “Auto” modes.

The 2012 Chrysler 300 SRT8 exterior has been sculpted to match its high-performance character and the 2012 Chrysler 300 SRT8 exterior gets an updated front and rear fascia with an exclusive new more aggressive front fascia which features a timeless appearance with a new Chrysler wing badge and the all-new grille. The 2012 Chrysler 300 SRT8 rear fascia features a modified SRT8decklid badge with new black accent, a new 4.0-inch round dual exhaust tips and a unique lower fascia with chrome accent bar.
The 2012 Chrysler 300 SRT8 is 0.5-inch lower than the base Chrysler 300models and the 2012 Chrysler 300 SRT8 also offers an optional Black Chrome package includes black chrome upper and lower grille surrounds and rear valance strip and exclusive black chrome alloy wheels
Performance
The 2012 Chrysler 300 SRT8 engine powered by the new 6.4-liter HEMI® V-8 engine, which also found in the recently introduced Dodge Charger SRT8 andDodge Challenger SRT8 392 that produces 465 HP and 465 lb-ft. of torque which replaces the current 6.1-liter HEMI V-8 an increase of 40 HP and 45 lb-ft. of torque. The 2012 Chrysler 300 SRT8 engine is paired with a five-speed automatic transmission drives the rear wheels, which can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in 4 seconds and reach 100 mph in less than 16 seconds with a top speed of 175 mph. A new active valve exhaust system allows the standard Fuel Saver technology in four-cylinder mode to run in a wider rpm range, that delivered 25% fuel economy improvement on the highway.
The 2012 Chrysler 300 SRT8 will also be offered with Adaptive Damping Suspension (ADS) system to offer the best performance and comfortable ride, which uses a driver inputs and a wide range of on-road such as a throttle position, steering angle, steering speed, vertical accelerations, vehicle speed and brake torque to automatically adapt and tune the suspension for specific driving conditions when necessary. In addition, drivers can manually choose between “Sport” and “Auto” settings that quickly tune the shock damping and harshness characteristics fto suit the driving situations.
InteriorThe 2012 Chrysler 300 SRT8 interior environment combines a world-class luxury accommodations with performance-oriented technology including the new full-color graphic Electronic Vehicle Information Center or called EVIC with exclusive Performance Pages with the 8.4-inch touch-screen display, which can give the real-time performance information, such as steering angle, power output, a timers for 0-60 mph, one-eighth mile and quarter-mile times, 60-0 braking distance, or lateral and longitudinal g-forces.
