2011 Subaru Impreza XV Mizuno Edition

Over on the other side of the world in the Land Down Under, Japanese automaker Subaru recently launched the special edition Impreza XV Mizuno Edition. The project, which was born from a collaboration between the Japanese automaker and the Japanese sports accessory brand Mizuno, features an Impreza XV SUV that has been dressed with a limited edition exterior paint finish and given a variety of extra features rounding up to more than $3,000.
On top of that, all models of the Impreza XV Mizuno will also come with a $500 voucher that owners can use to redeem premium running packs from Mizuno. The goodies include two pairs of shoes, drink bottles, caps, and bags.
All told, this special edition Subaru Impreza will only have 250 available units that will be exclusively sold in Australia beginning this March. The price tag for the five-speed manual variant will be AUD$29,990 ($29,763 at the current rates), with the four-speed automatic version priced at AUD$31,990 ($31,748 at the current rates).
Unfortunately, the car isn’t sold here, but it’s good to know that our buddies over in Australia have a pretty attractive piece of ride coming to their beaches in a couple of months.

Exterior and Interior

The XV Mizuno Edition SUV has been dressed in ‘Paprika Red’, a color that’s exclusive to this particular model. Other pertinent features include specially-designed grille and bumper, a thicker rear spoiler, roof cross bars with a carrier system for surfboard and skis, a new bonnet, headlamp protectors, and its very own Mizuno badging.
On the interior, the features include bucket seats dressed up in a two-tone color, audio controlled satellite switches, Bluetooth hands-free switches on the steering wheel, an information gauge that’s laid out along the top of the center panel, specially-designed carpet mats with Mizuno badging, and a Garmin GPS satellite system.

Performance

Since no perfornance upgrades were done on the Impreza XV, the special edition SUV retains the powertrain options available in the standard version. There’s a 2.0-liter gasoline engine that produces a total of 150 horsepower and 196 Nm of torque. The other available option will be a 2.0-liter diesel variant that delivers 150 horsepower and an impressive 350 Nm of torque. Both engine variants can be combined to two transmission options: a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic transmission, both of which will be available with a Symmetrical All Wheel Drive System system.
